Hi,
Can anyone help out there. I have a Samsung R70 with a 15.4 screen. My two year old daughter decided to test wether it could take her weight, funnily enough it couldnt! As a result i am looking for a replacement screen, does anyone know of a good online shop (avoiding ebay if possible) where i can get a new screen? I have a friend who can fit it so i just need it sent. cheers Kevin |

if not e bay you will still be paying about £200 for it online or from a shop i would just go to the shop and they will put it in for free its easy to do but why do it yourself cos if owt happens 2 it you can say it is the shops fault and not yours ....

I wouldnt recommend using a screen from another laptop unless you're 100% sure it's the same brand panel and will work with your invertor properly. This is important as panels work differently with different invertors, it may mean the screen wont be as bright, or that the brightness keys work incorrectly.
I've replaced many panels, and from experience know it's not an "easy" job, can take 2 hours+ easily if you dont know how to take the laptop apart and wing it. It's also easy to get it wrong and break some of the plastics, hinges etc. It's a horrible job. (and so I no longer do it, unless paid lots of money). My advice is to let a shop do it, and get a warranty. expect to pay over £100... any less and they probably do it on the coffee table with a fag in their gob while the dogs lick the removed hard drive. |

its easy to do mate in my opinion. just need a couple of small screwdrivers. i just did mine 3 days ago. you need to get the part number off the back of the screen. then do a search on ebay or google. my replacement cost me 80 quid.
