could i suggest you upgrade to rev 32.

as rev 32 is latest version

and what modem are using is it ambit 250, 256 or something else.

you can upgrade to rev 32 by ethernet cable as long as you know your telnet username and password.

right heres the links for the programs you need

http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~s.../download.html

download putty.exe

heres link for haxoware rev 32

Haxorware

and link for solar winds

http://www.oldversion.com/download_S...ver_8.2.1.html

Go to start, connect to, show all connections

Right click on local area connection, then properties.

Then click internet protocol/(tcp/ip) and then properties again

Then change the following

IP Address: 192.168.100.10
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.100.1
Leave any other settings alone and hit OK.

2. Set up a TFTP server (using solar winds) with haxorware11rev32.bin in its root (same folder)

Once you installed solar winds go to c drive then tftp root

And copy and paste in the folder haxorware11rev32.bin

Then run the tftp server from solar winds

Click file then configure, then highlight tftp root, then click the haxoware11rev32.bin file then click ok.

Then go to file configure, security and click transmit and receive files then click ok

Now just minimise the program.

3. Make sure the haxorware web gui isn't currently open (the internet browser closed)

Now connect modem to pc/laptop by Ethernet cable and don’t have the virgin media fibre optic cable connected to modem,

So just power supply connected to modem and Ethernet from modem to pc

4. Connect to modem with PuTTy,

Set host name (IP) set to IP 192.168.100.1

Telnet highlighted and port set to 23 and click open.

5. Enter your username and password

If after entering username and password loads of frequency starts coming up and going crazy all over screen don’t worry just copy and paste this command in for it to stop

cd \cm_hal
scan_stop
cd \

Then Copy the below command,

cd /ip
ipconfig 1 release
y
dload -i 1 -l -f 192.168.100.10 haxorware11rev32.bin
y
cd /
reset

Then just right click on the PuTTy application window. And paste in the command ( I use ctrl+v)

Haxorware 1.1 should now boot.

to access haxoware setup page go to http://192.168.100.1/

Then once haxoware rev 32 is installed you will need to set it up

make sure you go back to start, connect to, then show all connections, right click local area connection then properties, then internet protocal tcp/ip properties, then put everything back to automatically then press ok.

go here to view what you need to do

Haxor to Sync Guide

download the pdf

if i helped click thanks

im not sure about that

change the settings like mine

like make sure you put the tftp file name as cm.bin

and change the file name in the config file settings.

and your ds looks pretty low in the top right hand side of haxoware page, mines like 4.5.

thanks
