As the title say above .... just been to my mates and he has a fully working fun card running on 3_7 , this card was done by a local trader for £20 ....the problem he said it was a comms error ...

I have asked for a flash file and was told NO , now my mate has no problems with me opening his card and getting the flash ,but how do i get the new flash from a fun card without wiping it out by reading it ....

Ok some of you tech heads may not like this and will say i should learn how to write out a new flash myself , i say not got the brain or the time ...

I will post the flash as soon as i get it ....

Just the card into your programmer... and read the flash file, then save the flash file an re-write the flash file back onto card... but then again i cant see it being a comms error...

we would never say 'learn to do it yourselves' you must be mixing us up with another forum.

as long as he still has the bk and ird? u been ok as im sure when u read the flash u delete the ex? or is it when u read the ex? u kill the flash? i cant remember

yeah, read the ext, kill the flash.

read the lot of it and then write the lot of it back

i am going to mess around with another fun card first ....main reason my mate has a v+hd box and does not have the ird and bk otherwise i would have made a mosc card after the fun card hit ....

seems like a chicken and egg

well, you cant bugger it up as long as you save all the data from the card when you read it.

sorry thats crap info if his card has been done by a trader its probably locked, it may well let u read all on the card but i bet if u save flash and try and reuse its a no no, and ur pal will have to go back to this trader and beg to have it redone for another sum, also as someone said the others details of his box could be lost and hes well and truly fooked

Hi

Well if its off a v+ box I would read the card anyway just so he`s got ird and bk.

If you read flash first and then exteep, once saved write the details back.

Trader may have locked it he may not have, you wont know till you try it and imsure for the v+ its worth having the details.

If it goes pear shaped I`l contribute towards the cost of redoing card as long as we get the flash lol.

U can get bk and ird off a fun by using program called ' ATMega_IRD_ Boxkey_Reader' . U will have to find out if it wipes card but i dont think it does
