Default Eurovox Max V

I've had a Eurobox Max V for just over a year with no problems but for the last couple of days I keep losing my picture and get the logo 'No signal' or occasionaly 'Please wait code being updated'. I am in Manchester ex NTL. Any ideas about what I need to do to stop losing the picture or is the box knackered? It has been working ok for about 15 minutes but I know it will start playing up soon.
Do I need to do some sort of scan? I know how to do powerscan etc but can't remember how to do a factory reset if that is what is needed. Any help much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi I'm still getting the 'no signal' stuff. Mt signal strength is around 85% and I'm sure it didn't use to be that high.
Is that where the problem is and if so, how do I reduce the signal to get the thing working again.

Thanks in advance.

Hi mate,

To reduce the signal you need an attenuator or a long stretch of cable... The former being a more sensible approach...

It seems odd that your signal would get stronger though...

it's something that connects to the cable line and reduces the signal...

VHF/UHF 3dB In-Line Satellite Attenuator - Screwfix.com, Where the Trade Buys

that's a 3db attenuator, so the signal will be 50% when it comes out the other end... it's says it for satellite but i believe you can use it with cable... can someone correct me if not?

get someone else to confirm u can use it with cable... i still find it hard to believe ur signal could have got stronger though... don't you have a splitter you could test it with first? or maybe a long stretch of cable...
