Tm5400 CI+USB SUPER+ with 1mdish(motorized)

Hello pple, totally new to this section and looking for valuable wisdom. Ive installed the above system making sure the wall bracket is level in all directions.The elevation settings ive used are as follows for leeds, lattitude 54, longitude -1.6, elevation 28.5, Lnb -10 deg for the thor satellite 0.8w. The (declination) dish bracket has been set at 30deg. So the 2 settings ive used are 28.5,30. Still unable to find this satellite.I'm of the understanding if i find this satellite, and set to 0.8 deg then all others will be on the same arc and easy to lock onto. ive used other angles and found astra, then moving over to hotbird loose signal. I would appreciate any help to were i'm going wrong.As yet ive not purchased any cam cards and cas loader! but would like some help on this too. Many thanks

You need to read one of the guides for setting up a motorised dish, as what you have done is just utter confusion.


Use USALs to send the dish to 0.8W, with your correct location in set in the receiver.

Then set the motor elevation correctly for your latitude. If is marked latitude, then set it to your latitude.

Set the dish declination so that the dish is roughly vertical.

Then swivel the whole assembly around the mast and adjust the dish declination until you get a signal on 11325H for example.

Check that you get BBC world on that transponder, and after that you should be more or less done.

Oh, and set the LNB skew to zero, the skew should be around zero for a polar mount type motorised dish.
