This may sound daft but try the reset ??????????

hi all, well i have a netgear router and it works fine on a cloned modem, what i done was went into http://192.168.1.1, username : virgin i think, password is usually virginbroadband , password, also when i got into the admin page of router i ticked an option to use same ip as the modem, thanks hope this helps
