TMC sell a basic funcard prog for around £7 mate. Seriously once you get the hang of it its not hard. I started off with an old pace 1000 and a couple of fun cards, and got a good programmer of ebay. I'm a student aswell and I guess this makes a good summer project

TMC = Tailor Made Circuits.
_http://www.tailor-madecircuits.com/shop/index.php?cPath=22 Afraid can't recommend one as I've always used Infinity USB or CAS3+. Although it may seem cheaper/easier to get someone else to flash a card for you, all you need is for the encryption method to change again (which IMHO is long overdue) and you're stuck. You then need to program the cards with new keys each time they roll until someone comes up with an AU (auto updating) flash again - this could mean programming your cards twice a day if Virgin wanted to! Although it seems scary first time you program a card, once you've done it once you realise it's really easy. Just grab yourself a cheap programmer, the Nov 08 Funcard AU fix for your area, and Toxic or RHv1 from the the dowloads section and it couldn't be easier.

I have used both Infinity USB and Duolabs dynamite, both solid programmers. But if you just want a basic fun programmer, the link Confused Stu gave you is more than capable of doing the job.
Do you currently have a fun that was programmed for your box? Do you have the box ird and bk numbers? |
