Default computer fecked, how to do compleat restore. packard bell windows xp sp3. please read

ill try to keep this short.
for the last week i have been having probs with my pc. first of all trojan virus and then Dr watson postmortom debugger problems.
then home page rewrites its self
then programs become corupt
alot of this happend b4 and i done a system restore where the pc was like new and i started again.
i dont have any instalation cd's as everything is contained on the hard drive. problem is i cant remember how to to it.

im lucky to have evan been able to conect to this site as i kept being redirect to other sites.
i have used virus removers malware and antispyware removers and now the system needs recovery.

any ideas please on whats the best thing to do. ill be logged onto this site till i get answers, dont want to risk not being able to get back

Looks like you need a recovery disc!

Google "packard bell recover guide"
3rd link, download the correct ISO image burn to disc.


Boot from the disc which will open Norton Ghost for a guess then restore your PC to factory state

the last time i done this it was trough the pc noo iso was needed.

I think if you boot you PC and keep hitting F11 it will take you system-recovery tool, then just follow the instructions m8.

You probably have a secret partition installed, on your hard drive, which contains the factory setup, usually you access this by pressing one of the Function keys on boot up, these vary with different manufacturers.
Check the Packard Bell website, especially the FAQ's, or try various combinations, I think F2 used to be one of the manufacturers default keys, I'll have a look on their site, but what make/model computer have you got?
Also have you backed up your documnets, emails, and anything else you wish to keep, as you will lose them when carrying out a default install.

ok some good news the f11 key does it on start up and allows me to keep important data that i want but how do i back up email from yahoo

Try a system restore first - details are in the help menu.

Pick a point a few weeks ago.

When you've done your restoration and your system is up and running go to yahoo your emails will still be there m8.
