I have had a max v for over 18months and just purchased a 7000. Both are on the same cable feed and were both scanned within 15 minutes of one another. However, there are different channels on both recievers 259 on the 7000 and 276 on the max v how can the same line produce different results??

I know that my Max fluctuates slightly, normally with the channels listed TVCh1-TVCh10 or something...
I think they are used to broadcast on demand stuff so maybe you caught some of that? If not... Maybe one tuner is slightly more sensitive than the other and picked up an extra frequency... Do you know what the additional channel names are? Last edited by danielz000; 17-08-09 at 11:54 AM. |

sounds like your problem exactly... what kind of cable are you using? is it a CAI rated one?
Why don't you try saving the extra frequency on the 7000 and then plugging it into the shorter lead... I have a feeling that will solve your problem... |

Also mate, if that doesn't help, try taking the splitter out completely and plugging the feed straight to the 7000. That will double your signal...

Good idea about the saving frequency and shorter cable. Have made a 1metre patch lead up and will scan the box later on direct from the feed and see if that finds owt. Last edited by saroilium; 17-08-09 at 06:27 PM. Reason: additional details |

Did you have any luck with that mate?
It's what I did with my box when I was having trouble... Saved the missing frequency and then tried it on a shorter cable. The missing channels then appeared (after searching for the new channels). That cable you have is good stuff, so 30 foot of it shouldn't be a problem but if your halfing your signal and then putting it through 30 foot of cable who knows... In my case... I snipped the excess off from my room (about 3 meters) and it started working... so it must of been REALLY border line (either that, or a problem with the last 3 meters of cable). |
