Hi all
I am new to the satellite system. In order to get FTA sat channels, I bought a mini dish installation kit with quad LNB and satfinder along with this PACE sky digibox a while ago: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...EOIBSA:GB:1123 Now the dish is installed and when I insert the satfinder between the LNB and PACE receiver, the signal is between 7 and 8 after some dish alignment (satfinder's manual says tune of around 5 should be OK) When I take the satfinder off , connect the LNB to the receiver directly, turn ON the receiver, I get 2 messages, first one is to connect a live telephone line which goes away when I press the "back up" button. The next message is "no satellite signal" which baffles me at the moment as sat finder is showing good strength of around 7 when I connect it again. Looking at the system settings, LOCK is OK, some of other bits are 0000. Where have I gone wrong? Any ideas please? If you want me to check something on the box or report something from the system settings displayed on screen, please let me know.. Thanks.. |

If it helps, the model for PACE sky digibox is ds430n.
A sky card was already in the box when I bought it and I've left it there. Could it cause any issue now as there is no subscription at the moment? Eagerly awaiting replies.. |

No satellite signal indicates, that your satellite dish is not aligned to the correct satellite.
The system settings for Astra 2,should be: You should have solid bars, for both signal strength and signal quality Network I.D:0002 Transport stream:07d4 The expired subscription card has no bearing on the signal. |

Many thanks SAT-WORLD
The dish is pointing in the same direction/ angle/ inclination as all of other neighbours' dishes around my house. Can the correct satellite be found through sat finder which is indicating a good strength of "some" satellite at the moment, however the same is not reflected in the receiver.. |

Thank you - as far as Im aware Basildon is not just outside Detroit
![]() As S-W says chances are your dish isnt correctly aligned. Ive trimmed your postcode down - the full monty makes you a little too identifiable.

Cheers Analoguesat
How do I align my dish especially when its looking aligned with the rest of other dishes in the area? Should I try to align and keep the receiver running to see if it picks up a satellite signal? |

The dish will need to be within half a degree of the satellite in all directions to get a decent signal.
Leave the box on and move the dish a bit at a time - then wait 20 seconds for the box to catch up. You have found 28E when the network id is 0002 If you find 001 its 19E and 013 is 13E
