Brilliant News!

Updating is easy... You just need to hope you have the right port on your computer, if not, I believe it can be done over USB given the right kind of adapter.

From what I recall you just plug the Eurovox into the mains and the PC. The flashing software is just an executable you run, it detects the EV and does the rest for you...

Do you know where to get the firmware from?

Also,

The frequencies are the things detected when you do a scan... I believe they are normally in the range of 400mhz to 800mhz. Once it finishes the scanning it should then scan the individual frequencies for channels...

Go through the settings on the Eurovox and look for a list of numbers in that range... Check how many you have...

Thanks again guys

The frequencies ranged from 100 to 800 Dan

If I remember rightly last night it started picking channels up at around 400-500 frequency level (When I got excited!)

What I am most curious about is whether the box will view channels correctly at a friends house without doing the firmware upgrade - If I can view the channels on his TV would you agree that this would state there is a problem with the feed going to the box?

GJP10 - when scanning whats the signal level? From personal experience around 80% is good.
Without the firmware upgrade it should show FTA channels. It would probably be best for you to do the firmware upgrade (certainly wont do anyharm especially now you can get a refund if it fails).

So how many of them frequencies did it find?

That sounds similar to mine... starting low but picking up channels in the latter frequencies...

I think your feed is good to be honest... Maybe your firmware is just ignoring any encrypted channels that it finds...

I'll PM you a link... as I don't think I can say/write it here... The last time I tried it got filtered...

In case any one wants to correct me i'm going to PM him the eko link...

Thanks Ryan

From memory the rate was around the 80/85% level - Is this small sideways graph that goes from red to green?

Like I mentioned it detected around 11 channels then when I came to flick through them the screen just stated "no or bad signal"

Signal seems ok too. You should only get no or bad signal on the subs chanells not FTA. Follow Danielz instructions on updating and let us know whats happening after that, as Danielz say have to PM for certain things as per site rules, theres also a lot of info in the stickies which I found most usefull inbetween scans (they can take a while!!)
