I've been using the technomate for years now with patches, but now i find i cant get patches for this years season. is it still possible or do i need to get a different type of box???

You can still open Digi TV, 1W, using a patch and the latest keys, this will give you access to a number of channels showing EPL and Championship games.
Digi TV is changing to Nagra 3 soon so make the most of it.
