Exclamation SoftJtag Unhandled Exception Error

Hi Everyone,

I am looking for some help, I am trying to use soft jtag on an ambit 250/255 and having no joy in getting it to work.
I have used console unlocker to activate the console and have confirmed this by going into hyper terminal which lets me use command prompt so I know console unlocker is working.
When I run console unlocker all of the options are greyed out apart from connect. When I connect Via serial i get the message "modem connection established" but the opitions still stay greyed out. Then I'm hit with a error message saying Unhandled exception error. I have seen that alot of people have had this problem but I can't seem to find a solution anywere and I have been looking for around two months. I would be most grateful if someone would give me a helping hand.

Thanks in advance,

I had this issue for ages as well I could confirm the console was active but when I tried softjtag it would not connect to the modem I kept getting the JIT debugging message. For me it turned out to be a faulty 232 interface but one thing worth trying may be amchobit config tool as this has a boot loader flashing capability

Another thing I just remembered, once you have used console unlocker open up hyper terminal tap enter to get the CM prompt then tap the up arrow to see previous commands, cycle through the ones there and if any of them have any crazy symbols similar to windings then I would say that it is your 232

I have used the cable to flash countless modems in the past and can still flash ones with the p option active, however I haven't been able to use any of the ambit config tools with it, I have ordered a 232 off of ebay hopefully this will let me use soft jtag
