Hi
I am new to this and have just installed the above box but although it has found all of the channels I am getting scrambled codes on most of them. It is on a Virgin (old Telewest) service. I have checked the software and it is displaying1.0 ST4 Aug 21 2008, does this need updating and if so where can I find the download regards Terry |

Thanks Mark
I will try the link you have sent me. I have tried to connect the eurovox to the computer but I only have a 15 pin serial port on the back of the computer so looks as though I need a usb to rs232 adaptor or a 15 pin to 9 pin serial but not sure if they are available. Is it necessary to have the tv and cable lead connected to the eurovox when you do the download or can you take the eurovox to the computuer and then connect it back to the tv after the download regards Terry |

Don't just flash any old firmware, make sure you don't flash clone firmware onto your box or vice versa or else you will brick it and it will then need JTagging. If you can, try and find an AU image so you don't have to mess around entering keys whenever VM decide to change them

Thanks for the info everyone on the site have been really helpfull. I need to go and get a usb to rs232 null modem cable adaptor as my computer has a 15 pin serial port and I don't think it is compatible.
I have also been on the eurovox download link which sends me to a folder marked EX1000 but when you open it up it has a load of files in it so I am unsure which file to download any help would be appreciated Last edited by terry870321c; 20-08-09 at 11:37 AM. Reason: wrong spelling |

Serial ports are 9-pin. A straight through null modem cable will work better than USB to RS232 mate.

If you cant confirm whether yer box is a genuine one or a clone put the firmware 1/12/08 on it.If you know its genuine put the 19/3/09 on it,
the two dated 19/3 both do the same job but one autosorts channels for you and the other one doesn't. |
