I want to flash my modem. it was online then its gone off. it has the motorola firmware on. Is there any way in putting a new mac into it or not?

can any 1 point me in the right direction

you need a blackcat cable , blackcat ( Schwartz Katz ) software and a 2MB Haxorware dump from them .dot com. flash modem with new firmware which would allow you to change mac and config ( should your UBR allow config changes ). SB5101e is a nice modem to flash , pretty much bullet proof should it go Pete tong during the flash process.

i have a j tag lead with 10 pin header which goes to parrel port,

where do i get the dumps from??

is there a guide on this?

cheers for the help mate.

just another ??

i have another sb which has sigma on. the mac does work, i took it to my friends house yesterday and it booted straight away.

I un plugged it and took it home, i went back today and tryed to change the mac, but it didnt work and i couldnt changed the mac to the working one,, but when i came home i tryed it on my pc and it let me changed the mac and came back online.

What can cause that problem??

the internal ip of the comp/nic, if it struggles letting you in, set it to 192.168.100.10

If it is working where you are (i.e letting you connect to the 192.168.100.1 page) then it should allow you access elsewhere.

not sure what happend took it and plugged it up straight on.

just need to flash the other 5101e
