Favourite Channels

Hi again,

I recently bought a Eurovox 5100 PVR.

I have managed to get the channels working but the instructions don't say how to set up favourite channels etc.

Could someone post instructions or link please? Tried Google etc just keep finding firmware tutorials

menu/channels/add favourites/enter pin

you should get a screen showing all channels and there will be 4 coloured category buttons, scroll to a channel and press the coloured button relevent to the category that you want, this places a coloured marker next to it (press the same colour again to remove it).
you can have the same channel in all 8 categories if you want.
press the fav button on the remote control to change between the 2 sets of 4 categories.

There are preset colours on some channels that i cant remove by pressing twice - Is that the norm?

Could someone also post how to lock channels ie - The adult channels from the kids.

to lock the channels go into menu/channels/channel manager/enter pin
the lock option will then be available
select the channel and press the lock key and input a 4 digit pin

don't know about not being able to remove a fav as I've never experienced that problem but logically I would have thought you should be able to

There are some strange preset favourites - Like Sky2 being preset to 'Sport'
