Default Starview 4 possible faulty USB port

Picked up a starview 4 the other day. Was stated as being faluty had the 8882 error

However I just plugged the box in and left it for a while and it came on!
But is just seems to do whatever it wants. One day it will work, then the next day it just cycles through 8888 8882 ---- and thats as far as I get.

So when I managed to get it on I put in my usb stick to hopefully reflash it. Now the box picks up the usb stick yet everytime I click on the file it says 'please remove and re-insert memory stick' then still doesnt work.

Do you think its worth buying the 8882 repair kit and trying that?
