I was getting quite annoyed with the so many stickies and I thought they could be compiled into one. This is even more annoying on the phone
![]() Anyway here you go Eurovox Tutorials by Kris_Stuart69 1. Loading the software Connect a 'null modem' cable from the box to your PC. Run the loader application (click link below) and in the firmware box, click the browse button and find the firmware file you wish to load. Hit the 'Download' button and when 'reset receiver' message appears, switch the receiver off and then on again and the loading will begin. Go to Private FTA for latest loader 2. Manual Updates. To update manually, do the following : Press 'MENU', go to 'LANGUAGE SETTINGS', press '1968' and you should now see two extra options. emulation should be 'enabled' emm capture should be 'enabled' once enabled and you have 'emm capture' highlighted again type 1968 and you will see the key table. Use the left & right buttons on the remote to cycle through the various encryption types. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. Backing up your channel data. Run the loader util. In the 'Channel data' section at the bottom, click the 'browse' button and choose a name and location for the channel data file. Click the 'Upload' button and all channel settings will be downloaded and saved. Hope this helps REMEMBER THIS IS FOR EDUCATION PURPOSES ONLY. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jumpy channel / long wait fix by flashman and Sossbaby Sossbaby gave this good advice previously in another post. I have an addition to make to it. I would appreciate if an admin could sticky the post if they think its worth keeping at the top as I see it recurring frequently. good evening. go to the channel thats breaking up, press the info button twice and note the frequency.(eg 522.000mhz). go to menu, instalation, user instalation, enter pin. you will now see a list of frequencies. scroll down to the frequency that you noted before. (eg 522.000mhz). press green button. ch edit. press blue button. modify. useing the numbers on the remote add 0.5 mhz to the frequency. (eg 522.000mhz becomes 522.500mhz.) press ok. it will say please wait to save data. press exit. if the picture is now stable, all is well. if the picture is better but still glitches go back and add another 0.5mhz. if the picture is worse go back and subtract 1mhz. hope that helps. sossybaby. My addition is that when you add or subtract the 0.5 Mhz look at how quick the quality bar comes back. The quicker it comes back, the better the signal meaning no breakup, and also less time for the channel to come on when flicking up or down. All in all making the box function better. Enjoy Flashman. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ronsters Guide To Flashing Box For Newbies by Ronster Heres a quick guide for all those who have never flashed them before. upload your channel data first and save to desktop or you will have to do a fresh scan If your not sure which box yours is blue or red look at the box from above and you will see the tuner on the right, were the cable feed goes in. See this thread for further details - Lincsat's Nick-nacks (Shop) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read First - BEFORE asking for help! By Brian You're much more likely to get an answer to a tech support question if you take the time to say hi, introduce yourself, and make an effort to take part in the community. After all, if you can't be bothered to do that, why should anyone be bothered to reply to your questions? You give a little, you take a little. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Channel lists and frequencies Channel List And Freq (not All Areas England) CDF files CDF Files for the Eurovox Net ID's List of Net Id's for Cable TV NTL Chanels and frequencies All Nthell Channels & Frequencies (ireland) Just wondering would it better to just give links to every thread instead and unsticky them? That way the person who uploaded the thread shall get the thanks for it as all I did was "merge" all these threads together
