ok ive determined i have an original black max v box 2008, so what next? you say it could be the power supply? and theres no noise when i switch the box on, regards a very baffled mike

i am not sure, but i say 70 % is the psu, if you have got few quid to spend than buy a psu and see! cheers

ok mate, here is the link on ebay

EUROVOX MAX V , 2006, 2007, 2008 POWER BOARD PSU SUPPLY on eBay (end time 04-Sep-09 14:18:47 BST)

anyways if you want you can try chainging some parts on your psu but for this you need to have slodering skills.

Unlikely to be a psu problem, may well be tuner cap shorted, did one the other day with this symptom and deffo a blown tuner cap, so replace this first.
