Default sb5101e help

hi i have a sb5101e got the jtag and sure i have all the software but just cant seem to get it to connect with all the settings can some one tell me wat files i need and how to just change the mac address with out have to flash the modem with haxoware and so on cheers

you really wanna flash the modem with haxorware if you've time. it means that you can simply change the mac with internet explorer.

if you get toms jtag util to detect the flash, your in. pm me if you need a full flash file. i presume its the intel flash chip? there has been a new ST chip shown up recently which some folks have had trouble with.

to use toms jtag, once the flash is detected simply do the following commands (pref without verify checked).....

ldram flash

(browse to file)

program flash

(wait 45mins for it to write it to the chip)

then all i get is jtag cable is not connected got the jtag from a a mate how makes them and tests them after he has made it and he made me one for the motorola with ten pin headers

is that with the blackcat software?

trooperlee has a similar problem, well, not similar, identical. he traced the wires from pin to pin and there not right.

yea thats with blackcat software
i have checked jtag wires look good no lose ones and ma mate said he had checked it and it was workin before i got it so not sure wats goin on lol

you havent soldered the wires to the correct pin head check them over again and correct any mistake you may have made or make sure you are putting the jtag onto the modem board correctly.
