I'm tempted by the games on it but still considering whether to get one as I have heard that the phone caught fire. Is it this version or the previous? it looks quite nice

Any news of this coming to Orange? Apparently they have set up an iPhone portal but are refusing to speculate on it any further...

the iphone 3gs seems to heat up at the rear for some reason.
would be better off getting the 3g as it stays cool and can basically do all the things the 3gs can do and is also cheaper to buy

The iphone dev team released a 3.1 jailbreak for the 2g & 3g ( not 3gs ) last week , it only works on mac at present but a windows version should follow shortly. Google it mate theres loads of info out there.

You could downgrade to 3.0 using redsn0w jailbreak tool , The downside to upgrading to 3.1 is that your baseband has now been locked to O2 so the likes of yellow snow and ultra snow are useless for alternative networks , I suppose you could try a turbo sim but i'm not sure if they will work?
