Thumbs up Newcomer - Please Help

Hi all,

I am new to all this and could really do with some help.

I have a basic package with VM, for TV, BB, phone..I have a Samsung 2110c box.

I have a read up about the eurovox and for me this seems the simplist solution. What steps do I need to take to get this all set up and running after the purchase of the eurovox?

I would appreciate all the help I can get.

Just get a splitter, split the feed between your original box or subbed modem, connect the Eurovox onto the feed and you are away. Make sure you buy a pre-flashed Eurovox from someone or get someone to update it if you don't know what you are doing. You will need an update on to receive all the channels .

Yes it is and Maplins sell them. If you have eBay, this is a good splitter: 2 way Konig Cable splitter Sky TV NTL Dbox Satellite on eBay (end time 26-Aug-09 18:02:34 BST). You will need a coax cable fitted with one of these: 1 x Coax Plug to F Connector Adaptor Eurovox Starview on eBay (end time 26-Aug-09 16:05:30 BST) to connect to the Eurovox .

hi guys,

i have now got all the bits and have tried to connect the box (which I was advised was pre-flashed) where does the splitter cable need to be connected?

My points for my broadband is on the opposite side of the house, to my TV points?

Also the picture whilst installing is jumping all over the place? any ideas why?

also worth mentioning is that, once the search has been completed, it gets to a certain stage (say 10 mins) and then it appears with scrambled channels?

Can someone also advise if a talkback feature will need to be cut off for this or not? thanks

Hi

There is no takback on the eurovox so thats ok .

Are all your connections good/secure, did you extend the cable and put your own f-connectors on or the cable is premade.

The box came preflashed but have you done a factory reset and scanned for your area.

Take a look at your sig levels on working channels and the choppy channels

Regards

thanks.

When going to factory default it gives me two options:

1) Symbolrate (6952)
2) Symbolrate (6887)

Which one should be selected? or does it not matter?

All the connections appear secure and I used a seperate f-connector.

Whilst scanning on a large majority of the channels the signal strenght does appear to be weak..what can be done about this?
