Hi - We have a Eurovox EX1000sl and have had nothing but problems trying to get a decent picture with it. We have in the past had a perfect picture on most channels with a signal strength coming in around 80 and then we started to have problems with Sky Sports 1 and 3 where the signal would appear lower than the other channels and the picture would start breaking up and then we would get the message "no or bad signal". We have tried a number of attenuators including a variable one but it is impossible to get a stable picture on all channels at once. Tonight the picture was terrible despite adjusting the signal strength from between 79 and 85. After leaving the tv on for a while it appears to have settled down now.
We now have an attenuator on and can get the movie channels pretty stable at signal strength of 80 - however Sky Sports 1 & 3 is only coming in at signal strength 75 and is the picture is breaking up really bad. Can anyone offer any advice. Do you think replacing the cable would help? The tv is in the conservatory and we are running the cable from the splitter box in the front room. It then goes to the attenuator & is connected into the Eurovox. The cable from the splitter box is approx 15 metres to the attenuator. My husband is so annoyed with this box that he is threatening to throw it out of the window so any help would be greatly appreciated. (Just checked the picture again and movie channels have started breaking up again at signal strength of 80) Last edited by Caz64; 26-08-09 at 08:10 PM. Reason: Add extra information |

How does the box perform if you plug it directly into the wall on a shorter cable with no atteunator ? If its better than it may point to the fact that you actually need to boost the signal over the long cable run, not atteunate it..
