have you used EVMAX_BLUE_011208_CORE_140207_CLONESAFE.zip
and what do you mean by "stays on until i touch remote then bingo back to square 1"
does the box work if you use the controls on front of box

if your box is a clone then only the clonesafe firmware will work, any other firmware knocks out the scart output, so it appears that your remote is not working because you can't see anything changing on the TV screen,
if this is the case then
disconnect your scart
connect some coax cable from the TV / VCR socket of the eurovox to the TV
tune your telly to the VCR channel where you will get the 'enter pin' screen
using your remote enter the master pin which is 1004.
go to menu and clear data, then do a factory reset.
plug your scart back in and do a powerscan as normal or reflash the box with EVMAX_BLUE_011208_CORE_140207_CLONESAFE.zip

I would have expected the clonesafe version to work OK only thing I could suggest is to try downloading it again from a different source
the main thing is you can get by for now so alls not lost

I don't know where you got your first one from but you can get the clonesafe version from the chatterbox or DeJavu toolbars
if you've downloaded from here then download it again as you may have had a bad download.
