Hi all, just got me a ex1000 sl, but cant work out how to manually enter the codes on it. have a ex5000 pvr which is menu yellow button, not work on this one though. any ideas?

Hi and welcome to TechWatch
the other way is menu/OK/1968 1968
but I suspect your box still has the free to air software on it and those options are not available on FTA so you need to flash it with the latest firmware

you download the file to your box from your PC via a null modem cable (have a search for flashing the box etc there are hundreds of threads)

go here and copy and paste the eurovox link into your browser _http://www.techwatch.co.uk/forums/25845-some-download-links.html
the file you want is in the EX1000SL folder named UFL_EX1000SL_24_02_09_nosort_DarX.zip
download the file to your PC and extract the UFL loader which has the flash file preloaded run the UFL and download it to your box
