Default Connect starview 4 box to VGA

Hi there, wasn't sure where best to ask this.

I have a starview 4 box which has Scart out, s-video and the video and audio outputs(yellow, red and White).
In my room I only have a 22" monitor with VGA and hdmi ports.

I'm trying to find a way to connect a monitor to my starview box. I've heard about the gamer boxes which convert all ports to another. I'd like if possible a cheaper option.

Is there a cable anyone has tried to do this?

Cheers

Thanks for the reply.

Sorry, forgot to add. I purchased a scart to vga cable. It had a male end so I bought a female to female adapter from maplins. Tried it and no luck.

Tried looking in settings on the box and still no joy

are you sure you didn't buy a vga to scart ? There only work 1 way so you need the right one , try putting it in you pc ( vga end ) and hook it up to a tv.

Is your monitor lcd or crt as there was a note on the ad:

Not suitable for monitors designed solely for computer use. (The screen must support a horizontal scan rate of 15.625KHz- MOST projectors, plasma and LCD panels do whereas CRT monitors dont

It's LCD. It's a hanns-g 216dp.

I'm stumped tbh, I was told it would work

i have samsung monitor sm2494hs with hdmi/dvi/vga inputs and i bought the same cable and tried to conect it with my philips freeview box and had no results! i think scart to vga sync blaster at maplins does the job which cost around 65!
There are vga gamer boxes out there such as GADMEI and AVERTV which certainly works, but they cost around 40-50 pounds!
I have played xbox 360 connected to my monitor via hdmi AND SO i am wondering whether eurovox hd cable box would work or not?
Also there is SCART to HDMI outhere too!
I am confused like you and not sure about the resolutions!
