I have purchased a new plasma TV and hooked up my staview 4 Super USB box to it via normal scart cable.
Now some people are saying that RGB produces best results whilst others are saying that S-video is better. I don't even know what type of cable I need to connect the starview to my plasma TV for the BEST connection in terms of picture quality because at the moment, the picture is quite blurry. I am really confused, I know there is an RGB setting I can adjust to via the starview settings but there is no option for S-video from within the settings? Would really appreciate if you guys can point me in the right direction as I've been searching the Internet about RGB and S-video and am now totally lost and confused. A simple explanation along with pictures/photos of the type of cables I need to connect the Starview box to my plasma for best results would be immensely appreciated. Please provide phots of the cable showing both ends of the cable itself and point me to which end needs to go into the Starview box and which end needs to go into the back of my plasma TV. Thank you all very much in advance! |

Get a fully wired ofc scart and that will be the best picture you'll get.
If you've gone from a smaller tv to your plasma the picture will never look quite as sharp. |

You wont get any better picture from the starview than from the scart, the scart the S Video and composite (yellow , red and white ) yellow video ,red and white are audio, are all analogue signal
The RGB connections on your tv are different to the composite, they carry the Red Blue and Green signal on each connection , the hdmi is digital, The scart in bottom tv in starview and into av1 on tv as that is usually the one for auto detect scart. |

You can buy scart to component RGB converters , they will work with some dvd players etc that have a switchable RGB output, but i dont think the starview has that, the picture may be letterboxed with a converter , they are cheap to buy so it may be worth trying, but i doubt if it would be any improvement.
Have you tried changing settings on the tv ? |
