Default Re: TT1501-c problem.

i've compared the two 5000.ini files and theyre the same as the one in the d/l section.

I've looked on my 500c and for example bbc1 is Freq 00571MHz Modulation 64-qam, symbol rate 6952 and FEC auto, inv off.

When i try to manually scan that frequency it still doesnt find the channel.

I checked the log and theres nothing in it.

Any more ideas ?

you mentioned you would like to use Mediaportal eventually, why not give it a go now? If you have vista SP1 or XP sp3 then give it a go. Under MP config, it has a default list for NTL and Telewest, you should at least get that working if there's nothing wrong with your card.

I would agree with Phil, go for MP I know the 6952 NTL works (I put it there and have used it for years). Telewest is not my experience

My experience shows if it scans quickly and returns no locks its a driver issue under MP. Try to unistall under device manager

Willin is eluding to this and I would trust him so go for Macavity its a good idea

I had the same prob when i first installed my 1501-c and i thought my card was faulty too.
I'm using Vista x32 SP1. From memory 'i think' that i had to prat around with drivers a few times, a few reboots, but i also seem to remember going into the MP TVserver setup and making sure that the card is there under htpc project (or something like that).
Sorry if i'm being a little flakey, but i'm trying to remember the steps i took to get it working. I'll take a look tonight and post back.

I had a problem with my second TT1500 card on my mediaportal tvServer. Wouldt find channels or get signal. Drove me nuts.
I found ouy if I swapped my two cards then the old one didnt work. So i placed the 2. card on another PCI and Bingo! Later spotted that the other port was shared with my graphics card.
