Default SB5101e Problem

I finally managed to solder a pin header onto my modem but I have a problem. When I run Tom's JTag Utility and Open the JTag, the modem is detected but I get this:

jtag> detect
Read IDCODE: 0xff000000
Manufacturer: 0x000
Part: 0xf000
Version: 0xf
---------------------------------

The device must be working because I get a "device not connected" message when I disconnect the Blackcat.

I have just found out that the JTag I am using is for a Webstar modem. Is there anyway I can convert it to work on Motorolas?

The resistors are for the buffered version aren't they, to stop short circuits? I'm going to get another 25 pin LPT port as the one that this JTag was soldered to is burnt badly!

Ok, well once i've got that LPT port, I will solder the wires to the correct locations and let you know. If that fails, I will order a USB JTag which I have read will write the flash to the modem alot quicker than an LPT one .
