My Eurovox EX1000 SL problem, could someone help plz

Hello, can anyone help me,

I have a Eurovox EX1000 SL.

I connected it to my tv and all the channels appeared. I have virgin tv. The channels said that they were scrambled so I connected my eurovox to my pc and got a file to download called UFL_EX1000SL_24-02-09_DarX

I ran this file and a box appeared it said "eurovox ex1000sl"

underneath a button for download

I clicked on download and it said Version 2.00 detected....

then a START button

I clicked on the start button and a box appeared that said System reset...

It stays on that System reset box and I have plugged it into my tv, yet all my channels are still scrambled.

I think I am having a problem with downloading the proper software.

When it runs through on the computer, it scans all the channels, it goes thru things like scanning 1 of 770 channels, it finishes, then all the channels appear, and they say they are scrambled, the only ones to work are ones such as BBC etc etc.

Do I actually have the correct software on and need to do something further on the tv? Or do i not have the correct firmware (software file).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome to TechWatch

you haven't flashed the box properly
try again and if you get the box that says System Reset, unplug the power from the box hit the download button and then reconnect power and hopefully it should download firmware OK (it may take a couple of goes)

It still comes up with the same message.

It freezes on system reset, so I unplugged the box, clicked on download, it says version 2.00 detected, i click on start, then it says system reset, it is just repeating itself, a continuous cycle, I am at a loss.

when it does a system reset do you get 2 blue bars going along the bottom of it

after it resets it should say download successfull

when it says system reset, it is a blue light at the bottom left hand side, the power light, it goes off, then comes back on blue again.

no i dont get any bars whatsoever, there are grey areas for lines to go i presume, i get the download button, i press it, it says version 2.00 detected, then a START button, i press that, and the line version 2.00 changes to SYSTEM RESET... and freezes on that box.

give it time it should go blueat the top then move to the bottom line to finalize the flash
