AFAIK that is the FTA software, and even if I'm wrong, the latest firmware is March 2009. Update it then try scanning the transponders first.

You might try Deep Installation, that will firstly scan for transponders, then scan for channels upon those transponders. If you get no transponders returned from the scan, check all cabling as it may be a signal issue.
