Hello Everyone,
I have just purchased an Eurovox Ex1000. I am absolutely delighted. I bought it to replace a freeview box in a bedroom (I have cable connection close by) The picture and channels are Excellent I also set it up on my living room tv (I have a virgin Samsung V Box and 42" HD TV) If I was to be hyper critical I thought the picture was not as clear (colours contrast etc) as the V Box. Would the Eurobox EX7000 HD be a good exchange for the original V Box? Or can anyone recommend a alternative? (BTW...does the HD on the EX7000 HD mean High Def....or Hard drive?.....I am thinking it is High Def) Ebenezor Last edited by Ebenezor; 29-08-09 at 12:49 PM. |

yes HD on eurovox EX7000 means high defination, it can be a good swap and will give you better picture quality plus you get recording function. i would say go for ex7000 if you want easy modifiying becuase its just flash, scan and watch..but if you are confident in yourself and want some hard modifying than go for a v+hd box this box gives you hd chanels, pvr functions plus you can record two chanels while watching third..you can get this modified aswell it should be around £220-£240.. good luck and what ever you do buy from trusted seller!

The HD on the EX7000 is indeed High Definition watching.
If you find that you can benefit from a bit of upscaling and a few HD channels (More coming all the time) then yes id go for it. If you still wanted all the Virgin Menu's and no faffing about then you could also go for a Modified V+ box with built in hard drive, and 3 tuners for un restricted viewing and recording. The EX7000HD only has one tuner so you can only record something on one transponder and watch something else on the same transponder. Which can be a pain. |

Thanx for the replies.
I am not so bothered about recording. I think I would be absolutely delighted if the eurovox 7000 gave the same high definition as the V Box. Thanx Again for all your Input Ebenezor |
