Default Topboxs modems

Hi, if some one was to buy a Virgin cable broadband modem from Topboxs, would they just connect to their cable feed to get free broadband?

Go on flea-bay and search haxorware , any modem with this firmware installed would meet you needs , Should be roughly £25 delivered

It's not just as simple as plugging it in either. You will need a working MAC address (from a different UBR) so that the modem will sync and lock on to the network.

If you can't sniff anymore (you probably can't because most areas have gone dynamic) then you will need to find someone out of your town to get a MAC from.

this statement slightly misleading as my area is dynamic but I can still sniff for macs. just don't know what mac is what so would have to test each one one by one till you find a 20mb.

I think it's if the MACs end in .cm then they are harder to use because you need to try each one before you find one with the speed you want.

I'm sorry but I just like WTF'd there.

WTF are you talking about man? A mac that ends in .cm? There is no such thing, you are talking about config files, of which .cm is just the filename extension which identifies it as a cable modem config file.
