My partners grandmother passed away a few weeks ago and we was given her Eurovox max box, all we got was the box a control the scart and the power lead ...

On plugging it all in i got no signal, so i done a scan and a power scan but still got no signal, i then went and done something stupid and cleared all channels and also done the format thing in the menu options, i think this was a big misstake ??

Now i have nothing at all, no channels at all and now it wont let me do any sort of scan ??

Could someone please please help me out, i want to get this box working as it was working fine when my partners gran had it.

Hi, when setting up the box you can obviously see the picture that says "no signal", so we can tell the connection to the tv is ok. Do you have a live cable feed going to the box? Did you have to put an adapter on the cable feed to turn it into an RF cable? It's just that you haven't metioned how you have the box connected.

Yes i used the little connection thing to change the wire so it connects to the box, my normal virgin media box works fine, so i know iv got a live connection running into the eurovox max box, as i was saying though im not getting the no signal message now as i do not have any channels at all on the box and it will not let me search any channels as i done a format and deleted all the channels on the box :-(

you will have to press menu then installation then power scan then you will have to put in yer symbol rate nthell 6.887 or old twest 6952 then have a cupa tea

I think its asking me to add a channel as i have no channels, do i just add the one channel and then do a power search ?? also what should i set the frequency at ?? 000.000 what should i change that too ??

And also another thing when i go to the bit where it shows whats on the smart card it says unknown on mine although i know my card is fine as it works ok in my virgin media box ??

I think this is going to take me a few weeks before i end up sorting this out ?

try putin in symbol rate 6.887 then start the power scan

The box came from her gran in fife scotland, and im now in cambridge
