Angry Faulty eurovox ex1000sl

Hi all

After many pleasureable months of using the ex1000sl i find that the box has gone faulty on me.

i recently updated the box and that seems to be were the problems seemed to have stemed from. the box currently will not switch it self off when using the remote. i cant use the down key on the remote and also the menu button wont work either, therefore i cant power scan the box either. is it a faulty remote or have i done something to the motherboard when i was updatin the box. i have checked my line in to my house as i have eurovox red. which works fine.

can you can get hold of another remote to try
check that no buttons are stuck in on the remote
failing that try reflashing the box with the latest firmware dated 24/02/09_DarX (providing your box is not a clone)

sounds like a faulty remote rather than a faulty box, i had similiar problems at the start with mine and changed remotes and everything worked fine after that.

Is it a clone box? The firmware updates are designed to not work properly on clones.
