Can anybody tell me if the Eurovox v-max box that i used to use in Scotland would be useable now that i've moved down to the north-west of England?
I used to use it in an ex Telepest area and the area i now live in is also an ex Telepest, but something tells me that when i bought the box (about a year ago now) the bloke i bought it off said something about needing to send me a box suitable for my area?? I tried to connect up the box briefly, but used the only cable i had to hand , which to be honest, was a bit cream crackered (looked like a very old extension cable, it was already connected to the vermin box that is stuck to the wall). The resulting scan came up with diddly squat. How likely is it "in your opinion" that the cable was goosed? or is it a case of buy a new box?? I'm really hoping that's not the case, as i can do without the added expense !! Cheers in advance Dave |

Hi worst case scenario, you may have to reflash for latest firmware, other than that you should be good to go, you could try and change the Telepest setting (6.952) and try virmin(6.887) it could be that it used to be in a Telepest area but isn't anymore??
Other than them two, if your firmware is up to date and your scanning on the right frequency / Area, it could be your main cable feed is goosed. Good Luck |

The december firmware is good for the whole of the UK and people on chorus in Ireland. As bigchap has said, worst case scenario is that you have to rescan
