Default Subtitles on some Channels

I am in the process of re-arranging channels on my eurovox 7000HD.
I have noticed certain channels (Channels marked F on the CA Column of the TBN File) have permanent subtitles (not 888 teletext)
For example BBC 3 Channel number 48.

Anyway of changing this to remove the Subtitles?

Yes..

From the remote you can firstly try the red button and change the audio track, if there is another to choose - this will get rid of audio description.

For subtitles, simply press Menu on the remote, and choose language, turn the subtitles setting ON, then, save, exit back to tv, go back in and now set them back to OFF. This solved my subtitles problems.

Hope that helps chaps

Edit: May I also point out my problem was also experienced with BBC + ITV channels, but the above corrected it.

Thanx Morrisoft, The turning the subtitles on and off again in Language menu did the trick.

Thanx Again

Hey, you are both very welcome guys, I'm still learning with this box too and it can be a little frustrating so I am happy to have been of help.

Don't forget the thanks

Oh, anyone managed to sort the EPG descriptions issue yet by any chance?

I have got my head around uploading the channel info to a USB Stick and editing on computer...this is a long process and I have found that choosing a common fav channel for all relevant channels then moving them around the list...make sense?

(If you are dragging and dropping it seems to take ages from bottom of list to top...so if they are all near the top..it is easier to sort)

I have 2 eurovox 1000 box's and at the moment think the 7000 is a step backwards in regards to the menu's

Having a nightmare trying to arrange these favourites. Set them all in STBM add and it didnt pick them up. The went through and set them all again on ex7000, now when I got to my categories they all seem messed up.

Very strange.

I originally had some headaches here and kept losing my data.
Make sure after you edit your list via usb stick using STBM you copy n paste to desktop (if you do mess up you will still have all your hard work)
Connect usb to STB go to menu...go to file transfer....select Channel.tbn select TBN Down....STB will show progress bar then reboot.....you should then have your channels as you have organised.

Good Luck

The favourites do work when edited within STBM, best to do it like this:

>From your box, remove ALL channels from ALL favourite lists.
>copy to usb stick and open with STBM
>You should now see the channels in the list, ensure they are still not on a favourite list.
>Keep a backup of this when happy with it, and create a copy, using the copy set your favourite in STBM, save all changes and then put usb stick back into box + update.

Favourites should now show correctly, if they do not, try this again but instead add them to favourites on the box itself, if that too should fail, you will more than likely need to wait for the next firmware to correct it for you.

I found the current firmware to be quite buggy, but provided you have patience and are prepared to turn it off and on again after encountering an issue, you can usually get the box to do what it should, 2nd or 3rd time round.

When that firmware update comes out you can bet your ass all these niggles will be resolved.

I experienced several issues doing this, but I found that if the box would not download the updated list, putting the box to standby, flicking the switch at the back off and on again then trying to update it once its booted up would sort it first time.

~ Side note ~ I have asked once, but can anyone divulge any further how Eurovox firmware is updated, I know its a closed project, but I really would like to know more as it has taken my interest quite strongly. If anyone can / does have information regarding this I would appreciate a little more clarity, cheers guys
