Default Samsung SMT- 2100C NTL box problem

Hi

I signed up and tried to search but I havent found anything Newb related concerning this box or card.

I had all the channels and now I'm getting a message saying I havent subscribed to these channels yet.

There has never been this problem before. How can I tell it's an issue with the box and not the card? Is there a simple way to resolve the problem in terms of firmware or do I need to reprog the card?

Talking to a complete newb starting from scratch. If there any tutorials threads that could help then please link me to them

Much appreciated. Thanks.

Edited to say, its an orginal NTL card that hasnt had this issue in over two years

Hi

Youve said its an ntl card so we know its a "mosc" card. If you look on the other side of the card where the barcode is and the end there should be some numbers starting 010 or 011 that would determine wether its a rom10 or rom11.

As far as what revision of card it is you would need a programmer and try and read card in nagra 4.1 would give you a little bit more info but may not let you into te card as it maybe locked.

If card is locked you would need you would need an unlooper to unlock card and read it again in nagra 4.1 from where you would be able to sort your dates issue out as thats most likely what the problem is.

Regards

Just to confirm, are you not even getting the freeview channels any longer?

Well, I was getting 1 - 5 and news 24. Virtually everything else was locked including itv2 onwards.

I foolishly tried to reset the box but it now freezes at AP52. I think these are separate issues because of my stupid actions tbh

Im currently in the process of searching how to resolve AP52.

I'm assuming there is significance, if the freeview channels are not working..

AP:52 is a incorrect Net ID or no signal , Since you have reset the box i would say you have reset your Net ID. You can use the funcard trick to resolve this or if your in a pure area should set itself.

EDIT: This is worth a read... funcard netid tutorial

Hi

You have no choice you have to reset netid.....as long you still on 3.6 firmware funcard trick will be ok. What area you in if in pure should set itself as pointed out but if excw or tw you have to reset via funcard trick or jtag.
