Thumbs up Latin American channels?

Hi

I'm from Latin America, but I've been living in the UK for the past 8 years.

I'm wondering if it is possible to get Latin American channels from Sky or Direct TV sats, or any other local channels.

Any replies will be much appreciated.

You can forget the Yank satellites - they arent possible in Europe. There are a handful of Central/Southern American channels that broadcast in the clearin to Europe.

Any particular countries you are interested in??

Have a look on flysat.com, there are a few available, cubavision rings a bell, on 30W, an easy catch.

Cubavision is on 19E as well. Theres a few others around:

Telesur Venezuala
Bethel Peru (religious rubbish)
Recorde Internatonal Brazil

The Olisat operation did a nice little Latin American bouquet a few years ago. Shame they went bust!

Thanks for your replies.

Yes, I was thinking mostly about Mexican, Colombian and Argentinian channels, since those the main hubs for the continental sat/cable channels.
