Jam Needs A Reading

Hi Boys,


OK here I go again, right just repaired a dvd/hd box for an old lady near me cos her box was dead.
Opened it up and imediatly saw a bulging capacitor 6.5v 1000uF, didn't have one so I whacked a 10v 220uF in it and fired up and working perfect.
BUT I wouldn't have spotted this if it wernt bulging cos when I tested it with me esr meter it gave me a reading of 4.0, my charts don't give me any specs on 6.5v caps so didn't know what reading should be on a
6.5v 1000uF, does anyone know what a good esr reading for this value should be please.
by the way it's 6.5v 1000uF 105 degrees cap I replaced.
just curious on this one.
