bit stupid to release a newer model and stop producing the sl1000 when the firmware aint ready for the new model.
ive had nothing but problems with them since they came out and am personally not getting anymore.

Default Eurovox ex1100 USB

Hi guys,

My mate was wanting a cable box & I have ordered a Eurovox EX1100 for him but there seems to be quite a few problems with them like freezing & EPG. Should I send the box back & get something else more reliable for him & if so what should I get that is a decent box?

I currently use a Digivox XL that maybe isnt the best but does all I need it to do.

Any advice is appreciated

Cheers

Yep, same for me too. I tried the beta firmware and it made things worse for me. Pure N** area

I too got duped into having to buy the 1100. I ordered a 1000SL but got sent the 1100 instead and I can't return it because the dealer says that he can't return it to his supplier either as he won't accept returns. I can see why because he'd be getting hundreds back if these threads are anything to go by.

I'm giving up on it and personally cannot recommend this box to anyone.

Sorry to those sellers that still have stock to sell, but I can see this box dying a death unless they fix these problems very soon.

Someone on another thread made a very good point that if they can't fix something like the EPG and picture freezing how will they go on when there is something serious to fix like a key attack?

On another note, there seems to be another Eurovox, the EX6000. Has anyone got one of these? Are they any better? They seem to be the same price as the 1100 but no one has reviewed it or commented on it.

Don't want to go and buy one of these in case it is out of the frying pan into the fire. LOL

Edit: Just found out the EX6000 isn't released until Saturday so that's probly why no one has got one yet LOL

They are available. I got my ex6000 sd from lincsat today. it is a very good box actually. EPG is spot on. the keys autoupdate with the latest software installed.

You can watch the recordings back on your computer using GOM player also. To enter the key menu you just press 8282 on the remote whilst watching any channel.
