Hello all,
Does any one else find it increasingly difficult to rescan thier Eurovox Max V? After doing a full scan I'm still missing Sky 1. Various channels stay blank also. Is this down to Virgin Media? I performed a deep scan today and got 63 transponders and about 420 channels. Yes there where a lot of duplicate channels but still no sky one. Normally I have 39 or 40 transponders and about 250 channels. I cant seem to get a channel list for my area which is Liverpool so I cant replace whats already on it. Whats my options from here, thanks in advance. |

Do you miss the likes of BBC 3 etc... You might just need to download someone elses CDF. I had a similar problem but with my Dreambox

No, I was on about did you lose BBC 3, disney etc.. Try a factory reset of your receiver and then rescan/download a CDF. You could also upload your CDF for your area as well!

Just an update on this problem for me. I think I have a metal brick sitting on top of my telly.
I seem to have done everything I can to rectify this problem, nothing is working. What I've done so far. Tried to load my original CDF file, but I pressed the wrong button and the file was overwriten(school boy error) Powerscans. After doing a factory reset I can find the transponders and I get all the channels. The code will not update. Reflashing with latest firmware. I already had this on anyway. I've entered the net id's for my area, still nothing. One thing that I did notice after I first hooked it up to my PC and after I uploaded the CDF file. The menu had changed. I use to have an option for a deep scan, this has gone now. Maybe its a VM thing and a fix will be out soon, fingers, toes and legs crossed. |

OK I've fixed it and here is the solution. The keys need to be updated with my region's codes.
I have a Eurovox Max V hit menu>languages>type 1968>change the menu on the ones that appeared to on. Type 1968 again and you will see some default nagra keys>hit blue button to delete all of them (repeat). Now enter the keys for your region and press blue to save. What are the keys for my region I hear you shout, I dont know say I. But I know a guy who does. Goto thechatterbox.cc Toolbar Download and D/L the toolbar. Hit Files and fixes on the tool bar and D/L Keymaster>run program and enter the keys. If this dont work then try something else on the board. I'll upload my .cdf is due time but for now see attached file for Liverpool Virgin Media |

![]() Good to hear you got it sorted, surprised a factory reset didn't sort it in the first place tho.

Are you sure you have the latest firmware, it should update itself without you having to manually input the codes. Max V firmware from 30/11/08 should work
