Flashing bootloader for option P

Hi, I wanted to flash a bootloader on a ambit 250 modem. I'v done it before but this ones giving me a problem.

Is it true thta ambits that have been on the network will now not work with the console exploit?

I tried using the exploit on it but it reboots the modem.

And another thing i put the cable feed in and tried the expliot and when it restarted it connected to the internet. When i reboot the modem myself it never picks up the Ip address and when I use exploit it gets and Ip(confused) the modems not even mine its my m8's can someone please shed some light on whats going on.

console unlocker and softjtag frustrates me. i simply cannot use the crappy softjtag. i call it crappy but its prob me doing something worng or not doing something i should. i brick everytime, without fail. lol. i dont entertain it now, i just pull the chip off

Thats the same as me "all the gear and no idea" I can never get it to work its easier and quicker to lift the chips for me that is.

ima add this to my things to do list, investigate an alt to softjtag.

you can get a cm> prompt after console unlocker, thats as far as i get before i get the blowtorch out

Haha SoftJTag doesn't agree with me (or my modems) either, as you well know lol. I can get the Console Unlocker to give me a successful message but SoftJTag hardly ever connects and when it does, the modem ends up being bricked :O. I am going down the same route as G77 because I am going to keep practicing lifting TSOPs until I can do them first time, everytime.

Soft Jtag is a horid piece of software I did manage to make it work once by continuously attempting to write the bootloader till it finally worked! it would keep failing at various points but by clicking disconnect then closing it and opening hyper teminal then using the commands

cd /flash
close
deinit
init

then trying again till it finnaly worked! another one to try if it really is giving you sh*t is amchobit as this can write bootloaders without any additional files or anything. Got to be worth a go but it can still be just as bad, just remember if it fails do not unplug it or you have a brick just use the above commands and try again!

hI, Can someone explain why console unlocker ressets the modem?
And how come im connected to the internet with a modem that doesnt belong to me which has virgins bootloader on it?
Please help me its doin my head in

By the way when i used to this before once you get console unlocker to work always use Ambit tool to flash bootloader best software for that dont use softjtag. Unfortunatly console unlocker keeps ressetting my modem its annyoying anyone know a way around it?

have you got an ethernet cable connected? you could try swapping the earth connection around and using either the very top pin or the very bottom

just use the ambit tool beta 73 i think its called to flash the bootloader worked loads of times for me

Thanks for the replys, Yea I have the ethernet in and max connected and the equipments works cause iv got another modem that i tested.
