as im soon gong to cancel my sky subscription, i was wondering if i can still receive the same channels on my old pace or do i need to buy one of these freesat receivers ?

The box will work fine when you stop subbing. To find out which channels you will get access to just pull the card out of the slot and have a flick through the channels.

Yes apart from the PITA of having loads of channels in the list that you can't watch, an unsubbed Sky box, will give as good as a Freesat one. You may get a couple of extra channels too, depending on the card status.

have you had your new sky viewing card? if not best to wait until you have and then cancel. This will mean you BBC and ITV region will be correct and you will get channel 5, fiver, five USA and sky 3
