I think if you use 1x 3 way spliter would help, rather than using 2 spliters m8.

ive seen a few faulty splitters in my time try swapping the ports on the splitter then if the other tv has bother then its the splitter. if not could be a dud fly lead or even a faulty tuner. also the signal may be to high for the first box in the line try it in the other room if the splitter isnt at fault if it works an attenuator should sort your problems. what sort of boxs do you have ?? i.e a sammy is less fussy about high/low signals compared to a pace so could be a quick fix to simply swap them.

I am going to get a booster splitter to go before the box in the room.

Does the signal strength change with the standard virgin splitter? i.e the set top box or the modem split? I think this may be the problem as the wire stretches longer for the main room where i have no problems than in the bedroom where its right next to where it enters the house.

I tried it direct into the box on the bedroom where the problems were and there didnt seem to be any problems.

So to make sure i am going to get a booster splitter so that the strength for the main room doesnt get effected when both boxes are on.

Currently i only have the one box moving from one to the next but am getting another. The box is the samsung i think.

Cheers for the help and can someone recommend a booster?

You probably don't need a booster just need to install 1x 3 way spliter but if you still want a booster here is 1 for sale on flybay you might get it on the cheap if you are lucky;

CATV Cable TV Amplifiers HDTV Signal Booster 220V NEW on eBay (end time 08-Sep-09 03:47:43 BST)

each split causes 3.5db of loss with a 2 way splitter and if the box with only 1 split is nearer point of entry it could just as easily be too much signal. try the box in the other room
