hi guys,,,, ive just been given a new 5400 .the bloke says he changed the romote code in the settings to code 2...anyone know how to get it back to code 1 as the remote obviously doesnt work...any help would be appreciated....paul

Try :menu>system settings>password>0000
bottom of page to change type

Yes, that is what is says in the manual.

BUT...

How the heck does that work, if the remote doesn't work?

Apparently the ONE for All remotes will work the TM,

Codes mentioned on another forum include 1085 and 1273, for the One for All.

Yeh good point ! i used tm 1000 for info, in tm 6800 menu no option is given for type 1 or 2 remotes i havent got a tm5400 to check but i would think this is the same, type 2 only. try another remote.
