Please can anyone help me with pace box??

Hi. My pace box died a few weeks ago and so I figured the card needed re-programming. The man I take it to in the past always keeps it for like 6 mths. So I decided to buy an infinity usb phoenix programmer. It arrived and Ive downloaded nagra 4.1 as recommended on here but every time I try to read the card thru it it comes up with some weird error message!!! Someone mentioned that it might be locked and that I might need an unlooper. But if the box is modified then surely its already unlocked isnt it?????? Is there anyone who can help me please? Im almost bald (and thats not a good luck for me!!) and my 2 daughters are driving me mad goin thru hannah montana cold turkey!!! Please please help me????

Hi there!

Could you paste the log from nagra in a post? Then we can determine the problem, but I think you'll still find its locked mate, and if you are unfortunate enough, the 'guy' who usually does it for you might have locked it with a custom blocker image, which can be very tough to open without the right password.

What is the pace box model number by the way? If you can get the IRD + BK from the box you might be able to wipe the card to get into it (will remove all info from the card) and not worry about an unlooper.

IMO, you'll need an unlooper anyway, or a member/friend willing to do it for you. I myself use a MikeData dual unlooper and it works perfectly for all rom10/11 cards i have tried.

When you read the card with nagra, does it say what revision the card is?

Hi morrisoft. Thank you so much for your time. Is the IRD and BK them 16 and 8 digit numbers thats written on the bottom??? Im sorry. I dont really know my stuff when it comes to this. I really appreciate yor time tho. The error message coming up is : opening of com3 was successful, reset failed, error resetting card, ATR string invalid, closing of com3 was successful. Is this really bad?? Im soooo confused now. Oh and pace model is D14001NC. Thanks again for this.

Hi lucus. Also big thank you to you too for any help you can offer me. Its a pace box model D14001NC and im in Teesside. And iv moved house and suddenly ive lost like practically all my channels. It jumps from about channel 142 or sumthing to like 300!!! I would really appreciate any advice.

It seems like you have FTA channels only. Read the card in Nagra Edit and alter the rights and expiry dates. Use 399f for both then re-write the card, leave it on BBC One for 5 minutes and all your channels should be back :0.

Thank you blakey. When you say FTA channels does that mean free to air? I know, probably a dumb question!! But if that was the case wouldnt I still get like itv2 and stuff? Cos theyve all gone too? And also is nagra edit a different software to nagra 4.1? Cos if its not I honestly dont know how to change expiry dates etc. And I dont know where Im meant to use 399f. God yous all must think Im a right idiot!!

this might seen to simple but is your card deffinatly a mosc i.e. a (modified original smart card) and not a funcard e.t.c? so your saying it hasnt worked since you have moved house? have you moved to a different area?

Iv moved round the corner from my old house lucus. And I dont know how I tell what sort of card it is. It says nagravision on it near the gold chip and "their" name across the front. But it doesnt say fun on the chip like some other peoples cards do. So I dont think its a fun card.....Is it???
