sa 2100

I have a sa 2100 which has just gone off line the mac needs changin. When i goto 192 i get asked for a passoword. is there any way around this??

need to know wot firmware its flashed with m8 if its got infinite firmware on it then the normal default username/password is.

user name= Infinite
password= SetValue

(please not the capital letters in the above user name/password as doing it all lower case won't work)

if its got haxoware on it then iam not sure wot the password would be as i think these are normally set by the user or person flashing the box.

if it has got infinite firmware then you would need something like the 250 configurator to change the mac addy, as you cant do it using the 192.168........ page.

iam no expert on them to be honest but hopefully someone will know, all the best

Could reflash it by rs232, that should resolve it, but IMO thats a last resort, unless the info/settings are not important to you, in which case, flash flash and flash again!

Now how do i change the mac?? as i cant see a screen to do it??

ok m8 u need a program called 250 configurator. this is wot will let u change ur mac addy. if i can find it i will try and upload it in a short while.

also i might be wrong but iam sure you need microsoft netframework 2.0 or above and microsoft runtime visual h or j. in order to get the 250 configurator to work, you can get these from the microsoft update page, but check ur installed programs 1st as u might already have them.

dont worry m8 its sounds like a lot but once u done it once or twice it will be fine

i defo have net framework,, not sure what that visual h or j is??

ive just tryed to upload it m8 but it says file is to big, and iam not sure how to pm it to you.

you can get it off the tcb toolbar if u have that. if you got that let me know i will tell ya where it is

program now installed. when i click connect it says invalid user name and password

they are set as admin - infinite

any ideas??

once in the modem u can change the user and pass just click on write all but remember to untick force config
1 put in mac
2 untick force config
3 make sure ur freq is set
then click write all
