Hi,
I am about to buy a CAM and wanted to ask for opinions on which is the best one. Basically what CAMS open what packages etc ? I am on 16E at the moment but in the process of purchasing a 3 degree mono to access 13E or 19E also. But if there is CAMS opening better packages on different satellites then please tell as a motor could be in order if worth it. Thanks |

All that is open at the moment is DigiTV on 1w. That will go in a matter of weeks as they are in the middle of a card swap. I wouldn't bother buying a CAM at the moment unless you have an official subs card you want to read.

Hi all,
A similar question: Is there any card to open the important european providers? I have an universal card reader receiver, so I'm wondering if a gamma / funcard or something similar will do the job. |

Depends which providers you may be interested in.
Gammas may still open Nova and Bulsatcom, although I havent heard much info about it recently.

Yep it is pretty dry out there, I have a Diablo cam at present, with Fortech star Passion + but no joy with anything, even the diablo cam threads seemed to have dried up.. :-( ....
If anyone has some suggestions of best cams, or how I can best utilise my diablo cam and programmer (besides as a door stop) they will be gladly received...? |

The support for cams has been dropping off as the security on the pay tv providers encryptions get ever tighter.
Cams have really had their day for anything apart from reading official cards.

The Diablo still opens the Digi TV package, 1W, but this will not last much longer, and a few other channels, all you need to do is update the keys or load an updated keys bin file.
