Not sure how its done on the 7000, but should be familiar to other Eurovox boxes..Press the Lang or red button (not on/off) press Eng and hopefully that should fix it...jay

I found that the commentary was on for a few channels, one of 'em being the s*y comedy movie channel. I'd press the red button and select the alternative audio channel and the commentary would stop. However, when I changed to a different channel and then went back to the movie channel the commentary would be back on.
What I did was to press the menu button and go to the language setup and change language 1 to something bizarre like Albanian and left language 2 as English. My reasoning behind this was that there probably wouldn't be any soundtracks being broadcast in Albanian and so it would choose audio 2 (English), which for some reason seems to be minus the commentary. This has worked for me so I guess it's worth you giving it a go.
Cheers

That's frustrating mate,
Seems to me that the ex7000 has issues which are perculiar to certain boxes and not generic.
I did a test record on a film that I'd previously recorded which had the annoying voice over. I seem to have stumbled on the solution for me because the film recorded without the audio description. I've just pressed my red button though and both audios are "English"!?!
I don't know what to suggest but, as much as I like the box, I just hope the new firmware comes sooner rather than later and sorts out all the annoying little niggles.
Sorry I couldn't be more help.
